Topics:

Topics and lecturers change slightly on an annual basis. This year’s topics will include: Oxidation chemistry; Nighttime chemistry; Surface-atmosphere exchange and flux measurements; Box modelling with the Master Chemical Mechanism – a user’s perspective; Quantification of volcanic gas emission by optical spectroscopy - how and why; Use of stable isotope ratios; atmospheric removal processes; Glaciers; Planetary science; Atmospheric modelling; Mixing, emissions, and uptake within forest canopies; Aerosols; Global measurements; Satellite remote sensing of air quality: Methods and insight.

Lectures will be delivered by 15 professional scientists with expertise in the above topics. Click here to see the schedule of lecturers for 2016.

Who for?: Industrial and government scientists who wish to develop a more integrated understanding of the physics & chemistry of the atmosphere, and emerging issues of atmospheric importance. Those charged with duties of environmental reporting and compliance should especially attend. This course is co-offered to graduate students as part of the NSERC CREATE Program: Integrating Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics from Earth to Space (IACPES)

An invitation is required to register for the event. A password which is required will be sent with an invitation. If you are interested in this course send an email to cac@yorku.ca requesting an invitation to be sent to you. York University will invoice the participant.
